Arriving to work on Monday morning, a wonderful sight greeted Team JBT as they entered Trafalgar Wharf. A shipping container with our latest delivery of brand new Ballistic RIBs – straight off the ship from South Africa. As with every shipment, we began the mammoth task of unloading, thankfully the Yard Operators from Trafalgar Wharf were kind enough to give us a hand – and lend us use of the monsterous forklift ‘Emma’ from The Drystack.
Carefully wrapped inside the container were four brand new Ballistic RIBs, two 6.5m and two 5.5m. Each one is kitted out with her electronics, tubes, A-frame and console – all that is left to do is to get the powerful Evinrude E-TEC engines rigged to them. XS-RIBs are renowned for their sturdy design and many practical applications. While these spacious RIBs would be well suited to everyday family use, they also make brilliant dive or safety boats. Perfectly suited to cruising, diving or water sports, the XS-550 is powered by a single 100HP Mercury outboard engine offering ample speed and control. In fair weather or rougher seas this RIB would make the perfect dive boat, there is lots of space around the jockey seats and room at the transom.
