The Solent, a great place for RIBS (rigid inflatable boats)
Out of all the places around the UK to enjoy time out on the water in a Rib, the Solent must be one of the best. It’s got a bit of everything. Quaint rivers to explore, great beaches to visit. Picture postcard towns and villages, or modern city life, all within easy reach. It’s boating safety cover is excellent and there is true maritime heritage for the interested among us.
For those who want to broaden their boating horizons further it’s a great start point for trips over to Guernsey, Jersey and St. Malo in France, or simply head along the South Coast, Devon through to Cornwall. Accommodation is everywhere as are boat services, it’s a great safe place where you can just relax, or step up to the plate and challenge yourself. Call me biased but we’re pretty lucky here.
